Job Overview
Armatile is the one of the leading retailers, distributors, and manufacturers of tiles in Ireland and the UK. Our products range from the authentically traditional to the truly outrageous and can be seen throughout the world in places as diverse as, Ireland, London, Europe, Dubai and the United States.
We are passionate about what we do and pride ourselves on customer service and attention to detail. We have three established award-winning showrooms in N. Ireland and have recently opened a new luxurious tile showroom and design hub in Dublin.
As well as retailing to the public, we work directly with designers, architects and commercial customers and distribute tiles to other tile retailers throughout the island of Ireland. We also deliver the latest tile fashions from our unique bespoke manufacturing facilities to our exclusive supply partners around the world.
As part of our exciting expansion and investment plans, we are recruiting for a Commercial Area Sales Manager to help develop and deliver growth in the specification, construction and fit out sectors of our business, in the greater Dublin area and beyond.
The ideal candidate should have experience in a construction related and/or specification sales role and should have a wide knowledge of the specification industry.
They will have responsibility for identifying new business opportunities and tasked to create strong long-term customer relationships. They will be proactive, self-motivated and enjoy the challenge of promoting products and concepts to targeted, vibrant and ever-changing sectors of the market.
Duties and Responsibility
• Developing and growing business with new and existing customers including specifiers, construction and commercial clients
• Identifying new areas and opportunities for sales as well as establishing, and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients
• Meeting customers in face-to-face visits to further develop business and create successful long-term working relationships
• Planning and organising strategies that will facilitate sales growth
• Achieving and increasing of sales targets
• Promote and increase sales of Armatile’s unique manufactured products to specifiers, the construction industry and distributors
• Liaising with Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing and Admin teams to identify, develop and successfully exploit sales opportunities, using Armatile’s range of outsourced and manufactured products
• Supplying relevant market information on product trends, prices, competitor information, customer requirements etc.
• Preparing and delivering presentations to specifiers and construction industry professionals
• Attending presentations, networking events and trade exhibitions when required
Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria
• Proven experience of a successful sales career in the specification and construction industries
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Full clean driving license
• Ability to travel
• IT skills to include working knowledge of word, excel and email
• Must be self-motivated, organised and have good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively on your own as well as part of a dynamic creative team
• Ability to problem solve and be creative when dealing with customers and co-workers
• Demonstrate entrepreneurial capabilities and the ability to win sales
• Must be flexible to work when and where required
Desirable Criteria
• Design qualification or experience working in a design environment.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualifications.
